One of our smallest releases to date, FOUR BY FOUR is a blend of barrels of 9-Year Old Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Dearborn County, Indiana finished in Barbadian Dark Rum Casks. Not only is it a small release, but the resulting barrel proof is one of the lowest Four Gate Whiskey Company has released at only 103.2.

NOSE
Pepper, spice,
vanilla, molasses,
maple syrup, butter
TASTE
Citrus zest, oranges, light caramel, sweet simple syrup and dark rum
FINISH
Long, the rye spices fade out to be replaced
by low, sweet dark
rum notes
This is the upper end of Bourbon. I give it 90 points for a whiskey, 5 more points if I'm just rating it as a bourbon. I need another bottle.
