This policy explains what information Four Gate Whiskey Company (“Four Gate”, “we”) collects through fourgatewhiskey.com, how we use it and the choices you have. It covers this website only.
What we collect
Contact form. When you send us a message, we collect your name, your email address, your message and the page you sent it from. We collect nothing else through the site, and you never need an account to use it.
Age confirmation. When you confirm you are of legal drinking age, your browser stores a small cookie so we don’t ask again on every page. It contains no personal information.
Technical information. Like every website, our hosting provider’s servers record basic request data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) to run and protect the site. We don’t use it to identify you.
Cookies
We set one cookie, fg_age_ok, which remembers your age confirmation for up to 30 days. We don’t use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
On the Contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a message comes from a person and not an automated program. To do that, Cloudflare processes information about your browser and connection under its own privacy policy.
You can refuse or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you delete the age cookie, the site will ask your age again.
How we use your information
We use what you send through the contact form only to read and answer your message and to keep a record of our correspondence. We use technical information only to operate, secure and fix the site.
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers that run the site for us: our web host, our email delivery provider (which delivers contact form messages to our inbox) and Cloudflare (spam protection on the Contact page). They may use it only to provide those services.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, our visitors or the public.
Buying our whiskey
Our online shop is run by Shopify. When you follow a Shop link you leave this site, and Shopify’s privacy policy and terms apply to everything you do there, including orders and payment.
How long we keep it
We keep contact form messages for as long as we need them to answer you and keep reasonable business records, then delete them. You can ask us to delete yours sooner.
Your choices
You can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it or ask us to delete it. Email marketing@fourgatewhiskey.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under your state’s privacy law; we will honor them as required.
Age requirement
This site is intended only for people of legal drinking age (21 or older in the United States). We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe someone under 21 has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect the site and the information you send us, including encrypted connections (HTTPS). No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to other sites
This site links to other websites, such as our shop and social media. Their own privacy policies apply, and we are not responsible for their content or practices.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
